My Background
I grew up in Meriden, Connecticut, and started drawing early. I studied at the University of Pittsburgh before transferring to the University of Miami, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999. While I was studying art history and early digital art, I also completed a tattoo apprenticeship.
I’ve tattooed professionally since 2006. Along the way I’ve worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, a scenic artist for event productions, and in art departments for film and television. My work has also included private commissions, large murals, gallery shows in Florida and Connecticut, the 2006 Orange Bowl Halftime Show, and an appearance on TLC’s Miami Ink.
I currently tattoo full-time at Vatican Tattoo Studio in Delray Beach. I still paint, airbrush, illustrate, and take on select mural and fine-art work.
Foliata & Rare Plants
Foliata started as a place for the other side of my work and interests. I’ve collected and grown rare tropical aroids for years, especially Monsteras and Anthuriums. I’ve also worked alongside vendors at IAS events and Big Plant Expo. I’m especially interested in hybridization, plant genetics, and unusual specimens.
